What's Your Story?

Pitch Your Story for the Podcast, Thrive. Connect. Contribute.

We positive share stories of resilient people. The key word here is “story.” We want to hear about a time in your life when you faced a setback and what you did about it. You will take us from the gut-punch moment to the lessons learned.

Here’s a description of our perfect guest:

  • You have faced a setback and fought your way back.
  • You can take us to the exact time and date where time stood still for you.
  • You can tell a story that describes the setting, the obstacle you were up against, the actions you took, and the results.
  • You are authentic and selfless. Your aim is to serve the audience, not yourself.

Here’s a good template to use…

The simplest way to tell your story is the use the SOAR model. You can see an example of a story that follows the SOAR model here

Here is the one big question your story answers:

Tell me about a time when you were resilient.

When you’re ready, record your story below.

A few basic guidelines

State your first and last name and where you’re calling from.

Feel free to mention your website or blog once during the recording. Don’t get spammy/sale-sy. (And no need to mention “www,” just give the URL after that. For example, “CultureShift dot com.”)

Keep your story under four minutes in length. If it goes a little over, that’s fine, but keep it short and sweet.

Please note that by submitting a voicemail question, you’re allowing me to share it publicly on the podcast or radio program.

Here’s a good template to use…

“Hey there…this is Jane Smith from Nashville, Tennessee and I run a site called JaneRunsNashville.com where we teach entrepreneurs how to use social media. Here’s my story…”

When you’re ready, leave a voicemail.

Or, alternatively, you can submit the story in writing here.
